SwedishAmerican Sleep Disorders Center - Rockford, IL

SwedishAmerican Sleep Disorders Center has two positions available for a sleep technician.  One position is for a full time sleep technician at our Rockford location to work 3 - 12 hour shifts per week.  The other is for a PRN technician to work between our Rockford and Belvidere lcoations at a minimum of one 12 hour shift per month.

Virtual Sleep Diagnostics - Roselle, IL

Evening Set-up Tech needed

Chicago-land Sleep Diagnostics Company, located in Roselle, IL has immediate openings for PT & per diem evening Sleep Study set-up Technician.

Responsibilities Include:
     * 
Traveling to patients home
     *  Provide age appropriate care in the assessment, preparation and education of sleep disorder patients
     *  Educate patient to required forms/signatures and the sleep study procedure
     *  Set up equipment and prepare patients for studies
     *  Educate patient to appropriate medical interventions for sleep disorders
     *  Perform maintenance and on equipment as necessary
     *  Ensure proper procedures are followed and data collection is accurate
     *  Maintain competencies and professionalism related to job functions

Requirements: 
     *  High School Diploma or GED equivalent
     *  BLS Certification for Healthcare Professionals
     *  A minimum of 1-2 years experience in Medical Field working with patient population, preferred
     *  Excellent communication skills.  Must be able to communicate with referral sources such as physicians and 
         administrators as well as patients
     *  Excellent written skills
     *  Must be computer savvy
     *  Customer service mentality and a passion for patient care
     *  Must be professional, possess a high degree of detail-orientation and self-motivation, and have a strong work
         ethic
     *  Teachable
     *  Reliable Vehicle with adequate insurance coverage
     *  Bi-lingual is a plus

Job Summary:  The Polysomnographic Technologist has the primary responsibility and accountability for the provision of Sleep Services for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients as outlined by patient care standards, policies and procedures.

Qualifications:  Registered technologist, RPSGT - RT preferred; individuals who have completed both an ASTEP Introductory Course and the ASTEP Self-Study Online Modules (or a BRPT designated alternate educational program), a current BLS/CPR certification, and verification of 9 months paid clinical experience where at least 21 hours per week per calendar year of on-the-job duties performed are polysomnography, direct patient recording and/or scoring.  Duties must be within a 3-year period prior to application.

One year previous sleep tech experience required.  Self-starter, able to work independently.

Polysomnography Technologist 

Affinity Health System has a full-time night Polysomnography Technologist opportunity at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh, WI.  Our "state of the art" 4-bed sleep lab is supported by 5 Pulmonologists who are experienced in reading sleep studies, as well as a Medical Director who is board certified in Sleep Medicine.

This full-time position will work three 12 hour shifts per week, 7p - 7a with rotating weekends.  Must be able to provide physical and supportive care and sleep related health education to adult and geriatric patients.  Must be willing to occasionally travel a short distance to an affiliated hospital to staff a 2 bed lab.

Required Qualifications:  RPSGT - RT or EEG and two years previous sleep tech experience are required.  Scoring experience preferred.  Successful candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently and possesses excellent communication, customer service, and critical thinking skills.  Troubleshooting skills and very solid computer experience is required.

Polysomnography Technologist (Casual)  (JOB #2010-0016)  


Summary:  Under the direction of the Sleep Disorders Center Director, will be responsible for testing patients in the Sleep Disorders Center.  Will be accountable to the Medical Director and Center Director with respect to medical direction.  Will perform polysomnographic testing and a wide variety of other duties related to the evaluation and treatment of patients with known or suspected sleep disorders.  Will stimulate innovative improvements in patient care through demonstrating expertise as a practitioner.  Will particularly address the care adminitered to the patient with sleep disorders.

Required Qualifications:  Associate degree in a health related field.  Minimum of one year of experience in respiratory therapy, EEG, or other healthcare area related to diagnostic testing - OR - successful completion of a polysomnogram program.  Registered polysomnography technologist.  CPR certification.

Desired Qualifications:  Registered or registry eligible respiratory therapist or electroneurodiagnostic technologist.

Schedule:  Casual, to support business needs.
