I just wanted to let you guys know that I PASSED!!! I owe it mostly to Sleep-Health Management and the WONDERFUL instructors you have. I have taken a few courses offered by Sleep-Health and have been very pleased. Mary-Kay has been a great asset in expanding my knowledge on sleep medicine. The first courses I ever took were taught by Mary-Kay and just recently took the Board Prep course taught by Nathan. The ONLY thing I studied was the book and notes from that course. I was SO nervous... Especially when I heard the Physician who brought me into sleep failed his exam. I have heard of many techs taking the exam SEVERAL times before passing, EXCEPT for the ones I know took your Prep Course. I am VERY proud to say I passed the exam the first time I took it!!! I have since been called by several Centers and facilities across the US. Thank you so much for making it possible! And please extend my sincere thanks to Nathan for making the Board Prep class fun to be in. I look forward to continuing my education with Sleep-Health, Mary-Kay and Nathan. I took your Tampa ASTEP course, and since I have started working, I have realized that I already know more than 90% of my co-workers who have been working in the field for a few months or longer!  For example, last night one tech told me that his patient was in REM sleep.  When I looked at the montage, I was able to quickly tell the tech that his patient was actually awake and that the eye movement he was seeing was because the patient was looking around the room.  The tech gave me a look that said "You're the "new guy", what do you know?" Within seconds, his patient sat up to get out of bed!  The tech then acknowledged the fact that he was the one who didn't know what he was looking at.  Score one for the "new guy"!!

Just wanted to let you know that the Sleep Training course, June 18-22, 2007, facilitate by Nathan Ramey,RPSGT, was a very comprehensive and informative class.

The three of us that attended, from Shands Starke agreed that we learned so much during that week. Nathan's presentations held our interest and attention as we moved from one topic to another.The quizzes challenged us each morning, but we enjoyed the" wake up" challenge. Having had no medical background going into the Fundamentals class, I felt very intimidated from the start. However, the instructors knew this and kept the lectures very structured and informational, yet easy to follow. I felt that I left the Fundamentals class with a very solid foundation about the characteristics and physiology of sleep. I was so impressed by the Fundamentals class, that a few months later I came back for the Scoring and Art of PAP Titration classes. As with the Fundamentals class, I found both of these classes also offered a very comprehensive overview of scoring and titrating techniques. I really enjoyed all of the classes and instructors, and I feel confident in what I have learned at Sleep Health Management Resources. I definitely plan to come back for future classes to further my education in sleep and would recommend all of these classes to anyone interested in or already practicing sleep.
